World-renowned pianist Robert Wells has been composing, singing and performing to sell-out crowds around the globe for the past 15 years with his Rhapsody In Rock concert series. Rhapsody In Rock is a fusion of musical genres – classical, jazz, boogie-woogie, rock ´n’ roll and blues – all seamlessly presented and performed by Wells and his orchestra.

Robert was a child prodigy and the youngest student ever to graduate from the Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm. He was the first artist ever to play at Stockholm´s grand Royal Castle.

His concerts have drawn packed arenas in China, Russia, Australia, Japan, Germany and Sweden, and he has repeatedly sold out the Royal Albert Hall. His spectacular 2011 concert at the Albert Hall featured Chinese superstar Tan Jing, and special guest artists including ex Deep Purple legend Glen Hughes, Classical boy band Blake and charismatic tenor, Wynne Evans.

In concerts around the globe, Robert has collaborated with world famous symphony orchestras and artists, including Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Bill Wyman & Albert Lee.

The concerts have been seen by millions of people, broadcast in the USA on PBS and to over 800 million in China via state run CCTV. His CDs and concert DVDs are bestsellers, with a string of gold and platinum records to his name.

In 2005 Robert and his Rhapsody In Rock were awarded ‘best public event’ in Sweden. He was appointed Professor of Music at The Zezhyang University for Culture and Media in Huangzhou, China in 2006, and has his own web based piano school, King of Piano. He was then requested to compose the music for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

In November 2010, he released his first classical solo album, Close Up Classics, where he plays piano music by Liszt, Chopin, Beethoven, Stenhammar, Grieg, Rachmaninov and Debussy.

Robert was awarded the H.M King’s Medal by Swedish Royalties in 2012 “For outstanding artistic contribution as an entrepreneur within the cultural sector”.

in 2016, as a celebration of the Guinness World Record's 60th Anniversary on BBC Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night, Robert and presenter Ken Bruce made a World Record of most ABBA songs played and recognised within one minute. Subsequently, he re-released his Piano Concertos album which reached number one in the Swedish Classical Charts when it was first released in 2012.

Robert is currently promoting his most recent release, Sun Studio Sessions, which was recorded in the famous Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. In March 2018, he will be playing alongside top US country artist Billy Dean at the prestigious venue 'Live at Zedel' in Soho, London.
